Basic Pendulum Set,
Our set studies the simple harmonic motion of swinging and bouncing pendulums.
A horizontal rod, from which the pendulums hang, clamps onto a vertical support rod with a meter scale and a cast-iron tripod base.
The swinging pendulums have a 19 mm diameter brass bob and an acrylic bob of the same diameter together with a length of flexible cord for suspending them so that students can measure the effect of length and bob mass.
The spring pendulum comes with springs of three lengths: 25 mm, 50 mm and 75 mm so that students can examine the effect of spring length on the force constant.
A mass holder hangs on the end of the spring to enable the student to measure displacement as a function of mass. (Hooke's Law).
